Indian smartphone market is getting more and more competitive with the launch and re-launch (we're talking about you, Motorola) of established brands from other parts of the world. As was being speculated by many, Xiaomi has entered the Indian shores and has stunned many by its disruptive pricing of the Xiaomi Mi3. The specs that XIaomi Mi3 offers are top-of-the-line and are unheard of at the price point at which it has been launched - Rs. 14,999. First of all, let us look at what price points this phone is selling in other markets:

  • Initially, 16 GB version was priced $327, later it was dropped to $270 (Rs. 16,163)
  • In Malaysia, the 16 GB version has been launched for RM 889 (Rs. 16,730)
