Flipkart puts Mi Power Banks (Xiaomi) up for pre-order in India

Though we were initially under the impression that Xiaomi will make their Mi Power Banks, as well as Redmi 1s and Redmi Note on pre-order somewhere around the first week of August, the Mi Power Banks,at least, are now up for pre-order and you can book yourselves one if you are tempted of the price point they are available at.

The Mi 10400 mAh Power Bank can be pre-ordered for just Rs. 999, while the less powerful (in terms of the amount of charge it can hold) Mi 5200 mAh Power Bank is available for pre-order for Rs. 799. As there is only Rs. 200 price difference between the 5200 mAh and 10400 mAh model, the 10400 mAh can be expected to sell a lot more - as it can charge a phone twice the number of times the 5200 mAh model can. Specifically, the Mi 10400 mAh Power Bank can charge the Xiaomi Mi3 2.5 times, iPhone 4.5 times, and an iPad 1.5 times.

I've already booked a Mi 10400 mAh Power Bank, and as I've paid in advance, I hope the order will be fulfilled despite how difficult it might get, later on, to get your hands on one - given Xiaomi's notoriety for meeting its product demands.

According to the listing, estimated release will be in the last week of August, which we hope, is the time Xiaomi Mi3's cheaper counterparts should also be made available on. The Redmi 1S, in fact, made an appearance as a coming soon product on Flipkart today itself, before the listing was later on removed. Mi India's official Facebook page is also teasing the launch of the Redmi 1S.
