How to Root Spice Mi 500

Spice Mi 500 is the current flagship device from Spice which runs on Android 4.0 and comes with a dual core processor at really unbelievable price. We are here with a guide that will help you to root this device. Read what is Rooting to know more about benefits and drawbacks of rooting.
The rooting tuorial is extremely easy to follow, and even if you have no experience rooting any phone before, you can get through this.
Disclaimer: As you may have read a million times elsewhere, You and only you are to be blamed for anything that happens to your device during or after following this tutorial.

Downloads required: Root_with_restore_by_bin4ry_v15.7z, SuperOneClick v2.3.1

  1. Enable USB debugging on your device. Go to settings > Development and then click on USB debugging so that it is ticked now. (This is a part of the 5 things every Android user must do on his device. Check out the other 4.)
  2. Connect your device to the PC using USB cable.
  3. Unzip and start SuperOneClick. It will ask you to install drivers. Confirming that will install the drivers for your device.
  4. Close SuperOneClick now, as it was required only to install the device drivers.
  5. After installation of drivers, your device manager should list your device like that in the snapshot below.

  6. Unzip Root with restore by bin4ry. Double click the runme.bat file. It should open a command prompt screen with some green text.
  7. In the initial screen, it shall ask you the device type. Enter "1" there. Follow the instructions in the command prompt thereafter.
  8. During the process, you will be asked to click restore on your device, after which, your device will reboot. The command prompt should now resemble the below pic.

  10. Congrats, you have rooted your device! Now, wasn't that easy?
