Review: Riddle Me This, A Puzzle Game for Android

If you are a fan of puzzle games, games in which you really need to get your mind to work, Riddle Me This is for you. Published by Picsmix studios, the game is quite light and will install on any Android device that runs on Android 2.2 or above.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is similar to that of 4 Pics, 1 Word, except that there are no pictures in this game. You are presented with 4 words in every riddle that together hint towards the answer of that particular riddle. Unless you are very comfortable in English, you might need to use some hints to get the puzzle solved. As you progress with the game, the difficulty level also increases. The hints include options to reveal one of the letters, remove 3 letters from the scrambled up collection of alphabets, show another related word or to ask any of your Facebook friend. Except the last hint option, every other hint costs coins, the in-game currency.

Let's talk about the things that I would love to see improved in the future versions of the game. First of all, there is no randomness in the order in which the puzzles are presented in the game. This means that I can spend all the coins on one riddle, solve it easily, note the answer down on a piece of paper, wipe the application data from the Manage Applications section, solve that riddle without using any coin and then repeating the procedure with the next riddle. Also, the number of coins one earns on successfully solving a riddle versus the number of cons one has to spend on hints is highly disproportionate. One has to pay for further coins or get stuck there itself.

One of the best things about the game is that it doesn't throw any annoying ads on your face despite being free, something that makes the game look much more clean and allow the player to fully focus on solving the riddle.

Conclusion:
If guessing words or solving riddles is your thing, or if you want to exercise your brain a bit, you should check this game out, now.
