Organizing Your Aircraft’s Logs For Better Maintenance

The thing is that the private aircraft logbooks are very messy and it is very difficult to organize them regularly. If you just hand your pile of books and do not have any organization strategies then it means that it is going to become very hectic for you after some time and you will have to spend more and more time to sort things out.

This way you will not be able to get a better picture of what is happening and it will be very difficult for you to organize everything later on. But you can avoid all of this from happening to you if you take out a little time from your work and organize everything by keeping in mind a few factors which we are going to discuss.

In this article, we will discuss how you can organize your aircraft maintenance logbook.

 1. Organized

The maintenance document is going to include all the information for the engines as well as the major alteration forms. There are going to be a lot of other things involved such as copies of maintenance invoices and promotional material. So many important documents are involved that it can become very hectic to keep track of all of them and remember all of them as well.

You need to sort all of these things out to maintain them properly and create a separate box for the aircraft history. You can do this by visiting the local supply store and then you can get binders from there which are a great way to protect all documents and fragile documents. You can put these things in order and then half of your work for the day will be completed and it is not given an exaggeration!

 2. Inspection

The next step that we have in store for us to create a list of when the inspection is going to happen. It is your job to keep all things on track and it can be simple so you do not have to worry about that. The annual inspection takes place and you need to be on track for that. After creating a list of the timeline, you will have a lot less to worry about.

 3. Ads Tracked

This is something that is not usually done by aircraft owners. But it is up to you whether you want to make it based upon certain dates or based upon certain hours. There are going to be some cases in which the interval of time is going to be very less and a lot more is going to be happening in that short period.

During these situations, a yearly inspection is going to happen more frequently and you will have to be prepared for that. You can do this by making a list of what ADs are going to be applicable and then you can keep track of everything during the annual inspection. If you are not sure about which one is going to apply then the FAA is going to list them.
