Google topples Facebook to get back to Alexa #1

Just two months back, I broke the news that Facebook has dethroned Google from the coveted Alexa number 1 rank. Guess what, Google is back to it's old #1 position on Alexa! (I know you've read the title, but still!)

Being a huge fan of Google, I wished Google gets back to the number 1 spot in Alexa rankings, which are undoubtedly the most popular and accurate (kinda) ranking system in the world. This also shuts off some mouths that begin to whisper that Google is losing its market to Bing and other search engines.

The other websites in the Top Ten list around the world are still sticking to their old positions. Let me list them again (I listed them in my previous article on this topic) for you:

The Top 10 sites globally:

  1. Google.com
  2. Facebook.com
  3. Youtube.com
  4. Yahoo.com
  5. Baidu.com
  6. Wikipedia.org
  7. Twitter.com
  8. Live.com
  9. QQ.com
  10. Amazon.com
I hope Google will manage to hold on to this position in the coming times. If you like crunching stats, check out the top 500 sites in any country you want.
