Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016)


Samsung finally relented last year and launched a series of budget smartphones under its A series and as expected, these devices sold really well in the country. Buoyed by the success of these handsets, Samsung is now gearing up to launch an update version and Galaxy A3 is the first to come this year. This handset packs a 1.5 GHz Quad-core processor and 1.5 GB of RAM in a similar chassis like last year. The display on the front is 4.7 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. For photography lovers it has a 13 Megapixels primary camera on rear panel and 5 Megapixels on front. Other features include dual SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, NFC, 2300 mAh battery and 16 GB storage expandable up to 128 GB. This smartphone is worth waiting for since it is a Samsung offering and comes with a decent set of specifications.

Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite


The Chinese handset maker, Lenovo, has been marking its presence in the budget segment for a while now. Therefore it does not comes as a surprise if it still has few cards up its sleeve. Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite is one of the awaited handsets in Indian handset market owing to its new design and modest price tag. It comes with new design adopted by Lenovo with a metal strip housing primary camera and fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. The front panel of the device features a large 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It also features a 13 Megapixels snapper on rear panel, 5 megapixels on front, powerful 3400 mAh battery and NFC.

Asus Zenfone 3


This is the new flagship device of the brand that will hit Indian shores in the second quarter of 2016 or may be earlier. It is being speculated that the handset will be the first in Zenfone series to feature a fingerprint scanner. The front of the handset will be adorned by a 5-inch display featuring Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 720 x 1280 pixels. Asus will keep up with the Intel processor only and equip the next flagship with a 1.2 GHz Quad-core SoC coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It will also feature an 8 Megapixels rear camera with 5 Megapixels camera on front.

Nokia C1

Ever since Microsoft bought off the Lumia mobile division of Nokia, there were talks of Finnish handset maker going out of the business. However, the handset maker shut these talks up by launching its Android tablet called N1 and now the world is waiting with baited breath for its first Android smartphone called Nokia C1. This smartphone will be equipped with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and will run on a 1.4 GHz Octa-core processor. There will be 2 GB of RAM in the handset to assist the processor in delivering a solid performance. The display on this handset is expected to be a 5-inch unit with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Nokia will also equip the new handset with an 8 Megapixels rear camera, 5 Megapixels front camera, 3000 mAh battery and 4G LTE.

Elephone Vowney Lite

The Chinese handset maker Elephone has recently marked its entry in the Indian handset market and has launched a couple of impressive smartphones. Elephone Vowney Lite is its upcoming budget smartphone intended to provide high end features in a competitive price tag. This Android Lollipop smartphone will be powered by a 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor aided by the presence of 4 GB of RAM. It will also feature a powerful 21 Megapixels snapper that is accompanied by an LED flash and 8 Megapixels front camera. However, the highlight of the handset has to be the massive 4000 mAh battery that can easily last a day or two depending upon the usage pattern.
